On the edge of Milan, in the San Siro area, hidden among the rooftops is Oasis of Relaxation, a 130 sqm rooftop terrace that kept us busy for around 90 days. This wonderful terrace is the result of a combination of the careful and creative study of architect and designer Paolo Zorzoli of PAZdesign and the know-how and craftsmanship of èLUNAPIENA.
The central element of the project is undoubtedly the indoor swimming pool, framed by customized aluminium pots and planters by èLUNAPIENA, arranged around the perimeter to create a green backdrop that offers privacy and visual harmony, decorating the spaces with evergreen shrubs and climbing plants and small colourful flowers.
The vegetation creates a colorful spectacle in which the sandy beige color of the metal structures interacts with the natural wood decking, enhancing the materiality of the whole and creating a warm and welcoming environment. This is accompanied by custom-made privacy screens in shades of green, a color chosen specifically to blend in with the vegetation, separating the technical areas from the social areas and contributing to the visual comfort of the terrace.
For the furnishings, the choice fell on designer outdoor accessories by Berto Salotti: a petrol blue lounge set and two sun loungers from the outdoor collection were selected to embellish the relaxation area.
Protecting the living area is a BT Group bioclimatic pergola , specially designed to adapt to the geometry of the rooftop and ensure outdoor comfort in all seasons. Its adjustable slats and white color allow the living area to be illuminated while protecting it from sun, rain, and humidity. In this way, the terrace offers guests convivial and relaxing areas where they can enjoy the peace of nature every day of the year.
Functional details such as the ZanZero mosquito repellent system, complete the project, confirming the attention paid to every technical and comfort aspect.
The result is a perfect example of luxury outdoor design in Milan, where custom design meets the construction quality of èLUNAPIENA.
An urban oasis that demonstrates how the synergy between architecture, craftsmanship, and nature can give shape to new ways of experiencing the outdoors.
