Since it is already painted, it is joined by rivets placed on a single edge that are easily covered by holding this side against the wall.
Used since the 1960s, corten – also called living metal – has the unique ability to protect itself from corrosion by regenerating. It is a fully recyclable, malleable and versatile steel. Exposure to air and a careful wet&dry cycle promote a rapid oxidation process that èLUNAPIENA technicians are very familiar with. The color varies from an initial orange to a classic rust shade, giving a distinctive aesthetic effect: any furniture made of corten takes on that lived-in look, which is well suited to outdoor environments and shabby chic furnishings. Given its characteristics, corten has minimal maintenance requirements.
