In the heart of Milan’s fashion district, Maison Senato is a prestigious rooftop terrace spanning over 200 square meters, designed by Studio Paghera and built by èLUNAPIENA. The project transforms the perimeter of the space into an architectural green gallery, where custom-made structures, climbing plants, and ornamental greenery create a dramatic yet private setting.
The central element of the project is the matte black aluminum trellises custom-made by èLUNAPIENA. The round arches evoke classic Milanese architecture and run along the terrace’s perimeter, creating vertical green walls that ensure total privacy without weighing down the composition. Trachelospermum jasminoides, jasmine, and evergreen climbing plants wind their way around the structures, creating a dense, elegant, and continuous natural backdrop.
At the base of the trellises, the custom-made planters èLUNAPIENA in black aluminum—complement the architectural greenery system. Large rectangular planters and cubic pots feature spherical topiary boxwood, purple agapanthus, white gaura, understory plants, and climbing vines, enhancing Studio Paghera’s signature landscaping with an orderly composition that makes a strong visual impact.
The black aluminum pergola with a fixed roof and a white corrugated canopy shelters one of the two lounge areas, adding a dramatic effect to the project. The client’s existing furnishings, of the highest quality, define two distinct atmospheres: the covered lounge is dominated by ebony-brown cushions with white piping and striped cushions, while the open lounge features a vibrant forest green, in direct harmony with the living walls.
Coffee tables with travertine stone tops, an integrated hot tub, travertine-effect porcelain stoneware flooring, automated irrigation, and custom lighting complete a prestigious terrace on Via Senato in Milan. Here, greenery becomes architecture, and custom-made metal gives shape to an elegant, private, and memorable outdoor space.
