The Lake takes the form of a panoramic rooftop where views, comfort, and outdoor functionality coexist in perfect balance. The glass railing runs along the entire perimeter, keeping the landscape always in view, while the èLUNAPIENA solutions elegantly organize the terrace without interrupting the connection to the lake.
The space is divided into three main areas: lounge, dining, and outdoor kitchen. These are defined by the custom-made planters by èLUNAPIENA in anthracite-painted aluminum, consisting of large rectangular troughs and individual cylindrical pots. Arranged along the perimeter, they create a natural green screen that protects privacy without blocking the view of the lake.
The vegetation includes Trachycarpus palms, grasses, bamboo, yucca, Japanese maple, rosemary, and aromatic herbs. Different volumes and textures soften the architectural lines of the rooftop and complement the anthracite tones of the planters, furnishings, and outdoor kitchen.
One of the most carefully considered aspects is the integration of technical elements. The outdoor units of the air conditioners have been incorporated into the planters and concealed by anthracite aluminum covers with ventilation grilles, maintaining a clean and uncluttered aesthetic for the space.
The lounge area features corner sofa and Bizzotto armchairs in anthracite rope, dark gray cushions, and two large side-arm umbrellas. In the center, a custom-made èLUNAPIENA coffee table incorporates a bioethanol fireplace—a functional and striking detail that allows you to enjoy the terrace even in the evening and during the transitional seasons.
The dining area remains open and panoramic, featuring a rectangular stoneware/concrete table and matching chairs. The outdoor kitchen, with an anthracite stoneware countertop, built-in sink, built-in refrigerator, stainless steel faucets, and a freestanding gas grill, transforms the rooftop into a true outdoor extension of the home.
The gray stone-effect porcelain stoneware flooring and floor-level skylights complete this clean, contemporary design. The Lake thus becomes a rooftop terrace with a lake view in Lugano, where metal, greenery, and comfort come together to create a natural way of living outdoors.
